Each year the Assistant Superintendent provides the district and School Committee with the results of the district's standardized test results as well as an analysis of the results and the work that is being done in the district to address these achievement gaps or to sustain the students’ success. See the 2017 Assessment Results document for the full analysis.

STANDARDIZED TESTS: Standardized tests are one view of the performance of a school, district, and state and provide us with useful indicators for teaching and learning.

Massachusetts has outperformed all other states for the last six years on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), known as “The Nation’s Report Card.”

In the International TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study). Massachusetts competed as a country and have continued to outperform other states in both 4th and 8th grade (DESE website).
